What is the Umoja Homespot?
A 5G router that gives your home fast, uncapped internet over the air. You don't need fibre, ADSL or a phone line.
How does payment work?
You pay R399 every month for unlimited internet. To start, you pay R300 activation once, plus your first month worked out from the day your service starts. You choose the day of the month you pay. Delivery takes 3–5 working days after payment.
Is there really no data limit?
Yes, it's uncapped. A fair usage policy keeps the network fast for everyone, but normal home use like streaming, downloads and browsing is fine.
Does it work in load shedding?
Yes. The router has a battery built in, so it keeps you connected when the power goes out. No extra equipment needed.
Do I own the router?
The router stays Umoja's property, but it's free to use for as long as you're subscribed. There's no rental fee.
How fast is 20Mbps?
Fast enough for HD streaming, video calls and working from home, on 4–6 devices at the same time.
